Dear Parents,
We have been learning about conservation over the last week and discussed how to make the world a better place. We will continue our gardening on Monday and occasionally throughout the rest of the school year. Ask your student about all their hard work in the garden on Friday to celebrate Earth Day! The letter of the week next week is N. Please send in your N pictures by Thursday. Next week is the Week of the Young Child. We will be celebrating by a week of fun activities. Monday: Planting Day (Wear your gardening clothes) Tuesday: Pajama Day Wednesday: Spirit Day (wear green and white)/ Fun at Bixler Park Thursday: Botany Pond (weather permitting)/Hat Day Friday: Show and Tell (bring in a small item the child can show his or her classmates). Please keep Ms. Maggie in your thoughts. She had to have her appendix removed Friday morning. She will be returning when she is able. We all miss her and are thinking of her! If you are able to volunteer on Wednesday or Thursday, please let me know! We will need the help! Also we need paper towels. Please send some if you are able J Thank-you! Mandi Heiser

Dear Parents,
Just a reminder break begins April 7-15th. We will see you on the 16th! There is a great 3 Little Pigs activity by the sign in sheet you can work on with your child over the break (no need to return it). Be sure to read 3 books a day with your child! Exposure to literature makes a huge difference in children’s development. If you haven’t signed up for a time for Parent Teacher Conferences, please do. If the times do not work for you, let me know and we can meet before or after school or during my prep period. When we return we will be learning about conservation; including recycling, taking care of the planet and the things we can do to make the world a healthier place! We will be planting seeds for our garden outside all week. If you are willing to help plant, we would love your help. We also are taking donations of potting cups we can plant seeds in as well as organic potting soil. If you can donate let me know. Have a wonderful break! Mandi Heiser [email protected] |
