Hello,
This week we will continue to learn about life cycles, especially plant life cycles. We planted beans and hung them in the window. We are watching them grow, making observational drawings, measuring the sprouts and getting a better understanding of the growth process. We are reading books like the Tiny Seed by Eric Carle, In a Nutshell by Joseph Anthony, Seeds by Charlotte Guillain, Seed to Plant by Gail Gibbons, See How it Grows by Kimberlee Graves. Our letter of the week is letter N. Please send in your N pictures no later than Thursday. Since we are learning about seeds, we have spent a lot of time planting and working in our garden. We are in need of watering cans so every child can have a turn to water the seeds they have planted. Attached are directions to create a watering can the kids can bring to school to use in the pre-school garden. This is a great homework activity that you can do with your child to extend their learning into the home environment! http://ajourneytoadream.blogspot.co.uk/2012/03/helpful-yet-simple-diy-for-spring.html?showComment=1332868588728 Just a few reminders:
