Hello!
Thanks to everyone who sent in materials for our valentines bags! Also thank-you to those of you who sent in your envelopes already-we will send out our letters next Tuesday by walking out to the mailbox. This week, we are finishing up our unit on the post office. Please be sure to send in your self-addressed, stamped envelope (write your child’s name and your address on the envelope) by no later than Tuesday! Please have your child check the mail with you each day! This is a great home/school connection to what we are learning about in the classroom. So far we have learned how stamps work, how postal workers sort mail, and the ways in which mail is transported. We will be doing Q again this week. We unfortunately did not get a chance to complete our collage this week. If you did not have a chance to send in your Q picture please do so by Thursday of this week. In small groups, we will be working on our handwriting with our Handwriting Without Tears materials. We will be reviewing the letters we have covered so far this year. This will help assess what we need to work on with each child to ensure writing success. We will also be focusing on identifying shapes in the classroom environment. We will be focusing on vocabulary such as perimeter, line, curve and vertex. Have a great week! Mandi Heiser [email protected]
